A better way to plan automation.
I originally built Siilo to make sense of messy automation projects. It gives teams somewhere to map processes, work through the technical requirements and prepare a proper build plan.
MoonFruit — Independent developer · UK
I’m Chris, the developer behind MoonFruit. It’s where I create and launch my own software, from iPhone apps to web tools. I also work with people and businesses who have something they want to build.
MoonFruit is the hub for every project I make. One home for my iPhone apps, my web tools, my guides and the client projects I build with others.
I’ve spent over 27 years working in technology, but I’ve always enjoyed the creative side of it most. Taking an idea, figuring out how it should work, and eventually seeing someone use it.
That’s why I started MoonFruit. It’s the home for the products I build independently. Some come from problems I’ve experienced myself. Others start with a simple thought that something could be done differently.
I handle everything from the initial concept and design through to development and release. It’s a lot for one person, but that’s what I enjoy about it.
AI has become a big part of how I work, helping me experiment and build faster. But the product decisions, design and attention to detail still come down to me.

Some of the tools I work with
Some ideas come from problems I’ve experienced myself. Others start with a simple thought that something could be done differently.
Figuring out how it should work before it gets built. UI, product design and the flow that makes it feel simple.
iPhone apps, web apps and integrations. AI helps me experiment and build faster; the decisions and the detail stay with me.
App Store preparation, launch, and the best part: seeing someone actually use it.
MoonFruit is home to a growing collection of apps and tools. They’re all different, but each started with an idea I wanted to turn into a working product.

Most of my time goes into creating my own products, but I also take on selected client projects.
Whether you’ve got an app idea or a business process that’s causing problems, I can help you work out what makes sense to build and then get on with building it. You’ll work directly with me throughout. No account managers, no layers of communication.
I’ve taken plenty of my own ideas from a rough concept to a finished product, so I know what’s involved beyond just writing the code.
Have an app idea?
I can help you shape an idea, create a prototype or build an app that’s ready for people to use. Whether you’re starting with a blank page or something more developed, we’ll work out a sensible place to begin.
I’ve seen how much time gets lost to repetitive admin, disconnected systems and processes that have grown more complicated than they need to be.
Still doing things manually?
I build automations, integrations and internal tools to make that work easier to manage. Sometimes that means connecting systems you already use. Other times, a small purpose-built application is the better answer.
Alongside building software, I occasionally put together guides based on tools, ideas and workflows I’ve been exploring. They’re practical resources for anyone who wants to get more out of AI or find a different way of working.

Not in the traditional sense. MoonFruit is my independent software brand. I use it to publish my own products and offer development services. It’s just me behind the work.
I mainly work on iPhone apps, web applications, internal business tools and automation. I’m especially interested in projects with a clear problem to solve and a realistic scope.
Potentially, yes. If you’ve got an existing app, prototype or process that needs improving, send me the details. I’ll have a look and let you know whether it’s something I can help with.
We start with a conversation about what you’re trying to achieve. From there, I’ll suggest an approach and agree on the scope before development begins. You’ll be speaking directly with me throughout the project.
Scope is still in development. I’m working on getting it ready for release, and you can contact me if you’d like to know when it’s available.
Each MoonFruit product has its own privacy policy and terms. You can find them all in the App Legal Directory linked in the footer.
Maybe it’s an app you’ve been thinking about for a while. Maybe there’s something in your business you wish worked better. Either way, I’m happy to hear about it.
